In 2008, DFW launched an airport-wide Sustainability Policy and Program, as part of the airport’s strategic plan. The key elements of the Sustainability Initiative to date include: environmental management, energy efficiency and renewable energy, waste minimization and recycling, wildlife management, safety management, emergency response, asset development, and a clean vehicle fleet program.
